I think I might have did something wrong.

I tried cleaning my IAC today and I think I broke something... here is what I did:

-I changed the oil and filter. Car started ok.

-I took the plastic cover off so the IAC can be seen.

-I disconnected the rigid angled hose from the rubber hose to check for cracks (this hose goes to the EVAP Purge valve and eventually leads to the BPController valve). I reconnected it when I found nothing...

-I took the BIGG air intake (black plastic) off (remove bolt at bracket near front of car, and remove big hose clamp).
I cleaned the circular plate (butterfly valve?) that I think is the IAC with air intake/throttle body cleaner (it appears to be a mild solvent..it say it is safe for MAF/turbo, etc..) I also wiped off the edge of the circluar plate and surrounding of black deposit (appears to wipe off easy after generous application of the solvent).

-I dripped a few drops of oil on the rotating hinges as recommended.

-I started the car (with the BIGG air intake off. The car idle ok the 1st 2 seconds, then was very very rough... I turned the car off.
I put everything back on. Start the car, and hear a very loud squeal and very rough idle for 5-10 seconds. Then the rough idle went away, and the squeling also went away (slowly). However, the red triangle exclaimation sign came on and went DING-DONG. The red oil lamp light also went. However, the car seems to idle fine... I drove it 2 miles and every 10-15 seconds or so, the same DING-DONG along with the lights seems to come on. Everything else appears normal... In fact, I think my turbo goes up pass what I was used to recently (I had decreasing turbo...going only mid-yellow recently...Now it goes almost 3/4 yellow...).

Am I in limp-home mode? I' will try to "reset" it tomorrow when there is day-light.. Is there anything else I should check?

As an aside, I keep smelling a burnt smell in my car with the heater fan turned on. This started the day after driving from SC To MI through the rain in 1 day (with lots of stops...) This smell didn't get stronger or go away after almost 1 week.... (I'm not smelling it under the hood though...)
