I posted about a (possible) limp-home mode reset a few messages back. However, reading a little more, I think I have a different issue...

After an oil change yesterday (and cleaning my IAC/Throttle body), I got the oil pressure light (red triangle with exclaimation mark) and the oil can light flashing and beeping at me. I drove it for ~2 miles after that with no difference in performance (city driving ~35F temperature).

Now, I am also fairly confident that my timing chain is very worn, as I hear noises that is from that area. (Not accessry drive components/belt)

I've taken my valve cover off a while back (~80K?) and the cams look brand new with no hint of sludge.) I change my oil with Saab semi-syn oil up to 50K, and then Mobile 1 since then. Change interval is ~6000 to 8000 miles. However, I drive ~24K+ miles per year (Now year 4.5 with 118K miles).

I know there is a hidden extended warranty for my engine. However, my oil changes are all done with oil filters from the dealership (during warranty period) and then from eeuroparts through out the years/months.(Sometimes I buy 2. sometimes I buy them months in advanced.) I have all the receipts for those. However, I don't have any other proof that I changed the oil except my personal logs (in my computer...not even hand written).

Now, I will call the dealership/Saab on tuesday. I don't even know if this engine is worth trying to fix anymore. If I buy a used engine (~$1500 with ~50K miles on it), I'm faced with the same problem in another 2 years?!

What should/can I do?!
