Have the CEL code read, it will give you more information on what is going on.
Resetting the ECU through the fuze of OBD-II reader does not clear the limp home flag, so the solenoid will fire again when you start the car. I ran into that in my car a while ago. You need to unplug the battery for a few minutes to reset it.
Once the solenoid had fired, you need to MANUALLY reset the limp home mode by disconnecting the spring from the throttle arm. It's done right on the car with two flat screwdrivers (pocket knife, etc.), takes two minutes. See the link below for some pictures on the procedure.
Try looking for a used throttle body. When mine died, I picked up a good working unit on eBay for $90. car-part.com has a bunch of them listed at $100-150.
