I have a 06 9-3 2.0t and replaced pads and rotors at 35k...but theres more to my story than just a brake job...
My front brakes have almost no wear (circular cut in pad from factory has not even worn) even though they were the original set, my back pads are completely gone (replaced with about 3% left). My front rotors have warped somehow...even though my pads are not wearing. The dealer tells me someone must have "shaved" (I assume they are meaning "turned") my front rotors....however the dealership is the only place that has serviced my car for the numerous issues I have had. I have spent just under a thousand dollars on my first brake job for the car and this morning (a couple days after getting it back) my brakes are shit again. It sounds like bricks grinding in the back at low speeds and at moderate speeds it is a semi-constant high pitched noise (not the usual squeel you would think of with brakes). My front driver side sounds like someone has put a playing card in a spoke... My dealership admitts to not knowing what is going on and that the cars brakes are malfunctioning...however they are still willing to give it to me with a smile and tell me to go away... this is horrible experience. Anyone else having brake issues on a 2006 9-3?
