I have my MBC up pretty high too, and I get fuel cut offs too. Its really important to be in the correct gear, to the point of being anal. I have mine where I can't even be in third under 50 mph and floor it or I will get a cut off!
As long as I spank it good in second, I am ok to do whatever I want in the higher gears (but not loaf in 4th at 55mph and kick it). 50-60 mph is really the tricky area because its the top of 2nd and the bottom of 3rd. My wife hates it, but I don't think I can live without it.
ps. Also, if you have the auto climate control, program it to come on in ECON mode, that way the compressor does not get to come on when it wants to.
