You have to take the trim off of the inside of the hatch and then you can get to the bulbs. The handle has to be unscrewed, and there are a half dozen or so plastic fasteners that release by turning them a quarter of a turn. I think the bulbs are standard W5W types, which you can find in the European bulb section of any place that sells Sylvania bulbs. 164 and 198 bulbs will also work.
