Your dilemma is more about you than the car. Lotsa' folks in your fix don't have a choice, they can't afford a new car or they don't have the skill/time to fix it. 8+ years old and 120k certainly isn't too soon to bail out for most folks.
Two smashed doors and a rear quarter panel is another $5k of damage, easily. You say $800 just for the doors and then you still have to dick around, so your $1,000 deductible to have it fixed professionally looks pretty attractive. Likely the car would be worth more than $1,000 more if fixed half way decently. Older and higher mileage doesn't have to be as perfectly fixed as a newer car.
And I wouldn't do anything mechanically before the sale, caveat emptor or buyer beware. Your buyer may never discover or care about the problems you are aware of, or even with the problems, your car may be a big step up to them or a real bargain. Let 'em figure it out, keep your mouth shut, don't lie, but don't volunteer.
