Thanks Anders. I spent some time doing just that.
Got in there and took a look. I disengaged the emergency handle, dismantled the trunk linings etc and took a look at the motor. Everything actually looks okay. The motor was open and I could close it again rather easily. From what I can tell it looks normal. Perhaps it did just snap out from the bracket bending a bit.
I repositioned the emergency pull and tried it out. The top responded only so far as the tonneau was to enage and there was no response from the tonneau motor. Is there another step needed once the emergency handle has been pulled then replaced to get it going again or do I need to get in there further and remove the motor and bracket and take a closer look?
I lost daylight before I could get a closer look.
