Thanks for the info. I don't have a good garage workspace, and I didn't feel up to trying out the bleed procedure myself. Anyhow, I managed to drive most of the way to the dealer this morning and am waiting for them to try some diagnostics.
The service specialist has told me that the slave cylinder on my car is inside the transmission housing and that if the slave cylinder is bad, it will be a 10+ hour job to get the transmission off to make the repair. Does that sound right? He is further recommending that I just replace the clutch if it is anywhere near needing replacement. This is going to be very expensive, so I want to get some additional opinions before proceeding with anything. But hopefully bleeding the system will fix the issue...
Do you have any words of wisdom for me in this case?
