How long did you let the car sit before checking the fluid?
Did you drain the oil and filter with the engine really hot?
With a hot engine when draining, you get more oil out than when cold.
If you don't let the car sit for at least 10 min but check the oil right away after turning off the engine, not all oil have drained back into the crank case.
Yes, there are different oil dip sticks between the B204 and the B205/235 engines so it might be a chance that someone have installed the wrong one.
