getting to the chain was the easy part. Removed motor mounts, steering pump, water pump, idler pulley, passenger side splash shield,loosened alternator. Set at TDC, removed crank pulley. Then you take a block of would and wedge it between the fender and cylinder head to push the engine over about 1.5 inches. Then you have access to the timing cover bolts. removed the TC and there is the chain. There is a write up on saabsite that is more detailed if you have the masochistic desire to attempt this. Drop the pan if you do.
