3k-5k oil changes. I personally don't agree with the high mileage oil change due to there being more particles suspended into oil. The filter doesn't get it all. With the Jiffy-lube places, I think they sometimes just suck the oil from the fill neck of the engine and don't pull the drain plug. Check with them to be sure. It important to remove the drain plug as this will allow any sediment to drain out. I use regular oil and change every 3k. This has gotten me over 250.000 miles on all my Volvo's and Saab's. The ones that I sold are still on the road today. If you don't drive like your 16 years old and maintain your car they should last for over 300.000k before its time to freshen things up. Fluid changes and tune-ups. I just bought a 92/900 turbo automatic with 183.000 on it and it hard to believe its hardly broken in. The bushings look good as well as the rest of the car. The women who owned the car never missed the dealers/manufacturers maintenance schedule. $1,000.00 with All new exhaust, tires and headliner. Not as nice as a stick shift but, when my knees are acting-up, the auto really save the day.
