I got a ticket in Florida by a motorcycle cop. I pulled onto I95 for a 1 mile stretch before taking the next exit and got carried away since traffic was really light. Didn't notice him behind me as I poured the coal on.
Long story short, I had my license and registration out before he got to the car, and admitted yes I was driving a bit over the limit. No excuse except for the light traffic. He laughed and said his speedometer read 90 mph and I was pulling away from him before I slowed and pulled over. Then, unbelievably, he said I had a good attitude, wrote me a ticket for 79 in a 70 zone, and told me to do traffic school (online) for no points. He did write 90+ in the corner of the ticket in case I tried to fight it.
While all this was happening, about half of my coworkers were passing us on the way to work. When I got in, they were razzing me for getting pulled over (finally) knowing my driving habits. It was pretty funny to see their jaws drop when I showed them the ticket.
Oh, and with that 2002 9-3SE I regularly got 30mpg at 75 to 80mph commuting to work, and the stated 33 to 34 mpg on extended interstate drives.
My 2002 9-5 Aero SW is a tad more thirsty (but even more of a blast to drive).
