need a Viggen transmission--opinions please!

2000 Viggen with 122K (mostly highway since 30K, Mobil 1 every 3K since I bought it CPO at back at 30K in 2003): dealer claims that it needs a new tranny since shifting has become more difficult, especially going down into first from second at <5 mph (big clunk sound, but will shift fine once the car its only moving 0-2 mph). Linkage, mounts, fluid quality are all OK. Reverse and most upshifting beyond second are OK as of now. I love the car and its been well maintained and is super clean inside and out. I planned on keeping the car for 2-3 years before this tranmission news. I am on the original clutch, original rear brakes, and original exhaust past the downpipe-- so these would be future repairs during the next 2-3 years that I planned on keeping the car. Dealer wants ~5K for a new transmission, clutch, slave cyl. and a flywheel resurface plus installation. QUESTIONS: what would some of you do? I could try to trade it in now to an unsuspecting dealer, but probably not get it past a SAAB dealer. I could fix it and hope to get back on the 2-3 year schedule I originally had in mind, put maybe go beyond that to justify the big expense. Anybody think the repair cost is too high? Are there rebuilt or used Viggen transmissions out there? Any thoughts would be appreciated!
