Third gear syncros are usually the first to go on these transmissions--yours could be getting a little weak. Saabs in general don't seem to like being shifted fast. There may be some mods, but the best course would be to not fight it. Just give it that extra fraction of a second to shift and it'll be fine. You won't get much change back from your $3000 dollar bill if you have to replace the transmission. Unless you're a get away car driver I can't imagine taking the time to shift correctly will make much difference.
