I know the B204 engine used in the newgen 900s and the early 9-3s has been pretty well confirmed as a stronger block than the B205 that replaced it in later 2.0L applications. I don't know if the early Viggens had the B234 which was ACTUALLY a stroked version of the B204 or not. I KNOW the later Viggen used the B235R which was a stroked version of the B205 block which was the weaker design. I would assume that all Viggen 2.3L engines are the B235 since the Viggen also took on the T7 management universally.
That said, there may be some durability differences between the B235 block and the B204 block that would be significant if the goal were to build HUGE HP. However, it seems the consensus has been they are generally fine.
