That's the problem with car covers

on cars that are being driven. If you put it on a dirty car than the dirt gets on the inside of the cover and can scratch the paint as the wind makes the cover flutter. I'd also be very hesitant to put it on a wet car too--it could leave spots on the finish or top. You could bring a towel/shami and dry the car off before you put the cover on, otherwise I'd be more inclined to leave it off.
