1. The "waffles" (I like that term) pivot on two very thin metal rods. These are likely to fall out during disassembly so be careful not to lose them.
2. Use bread bag ties or the like to temporarily fasten the waffles to the back of the vent and use dabs of white grease to hold the rods and plastic pivots during reassembly.
