I had a 3 dr. 94 900 SE as well, I can tell you some things NOT to do...and some which will help.

16" low profile tires (205-50-16)the car came with did a lot to make the ride harsh. Better to go with a quality 205-55-16 tire. One could go with the 15" rims but that looks funny and will cost you for the rims. NO WAY should you go to 17"s.

Stay away from Koni or Bilstien shocks, they will improve handling at the expense of ride, but this is not what you seek. I replaced mine at 136k with OEM type Boges, have not used the Monroes and have seen mixed reviews.

If you are still running the OEM suspension, the 94 to mid 95 models had an awful setup that contributed to poor ride and lots of creaks, yours by now is shot. You should consider the upgrade kit which makes it like the newer 900/9-3 set up for smoother ride, less creaks and pops, and is more durable. Your front strut mounts are probably shot.

A rear sway bar will help handling and not penalize the ride quality, probably the most bang for the buck, cheap and easy to do. You do not need a steering rack brace with the 94-95 models, they had a beefier aluminum rack which did not have the fat rubber grommets that made steering vauge on the later models. I put one on my 94 and it made absolutely no difference.

Maybe a Cadillac DTS sedan would be more appealing, ugly but not a bad car, better than Buick. Want a punishing ride? Try a Viggen or a 9-5 Aero. So yours is not the worst.

I would put my money into the 55 series tires and renewed front suspension with Boges all around. That is the best ride you will ever get out of this car and you will notice it immediately.

94 900 SE (RIP)
00 9-3 9-3 SE (137K)
04 9-5 Aero (45K)
