Maybe the poster meant the circlip that hold the drive shaft in place.
To get the drive shaft out of the transmission you need to use a pry bar or special fork to pry out the shaft, overcoming the grip of that circlip.
That's the only thing I can think of.
I suspect it will take quite a sturdy bearing puller to pull that bushing out. The design need to be similar to the regular tail shaft bushing pullers that are used on many domestic automatic transmissions. I have one of those for the older Volvo transmissions but the diameter is wrong for this bushing.
