Yes they are pretty easy to find.
Of the two the starter is the easiest as you can see it better.
Come in from the passenger side above (unless you want to jack the car up and go from underneath) and feel for the nut with your 13mm socket (after you disconnect the battery). Once your on there you can actually see what your doing through the space between the runners.
Unbolt the nut, bring it up and set it on your work bench, pull the battery cable off. Take your sand paper or wire brush and hit the nut, the battery terminal, the stud, and the base of the solenoid surface that the battery terminal sits against. Put some di-electric grease on both sides of the battery terminal and slip it back on and bolt it all down.
Basically do the same for the alternator next. You should be able to get the alternator from above. If not jack it up and get it from underneath.
Once done just hook up your battery again. Apply grease to the battery again if it looks like you need it.
I tackled a no start issue that ended up being corrosion related twice in one month. Once at the starter solenoid followed up by the battery terminals.
