I have done about 14 or so. The quinky dink here is that they all have been 2.3L non turbo.
I have not seen any turbo engine with balance shaft sprocket issues, why, I don't know.
I always leave complete intake manifold in car but loosen (but not remove) the wire harness bracket and sometimes the fuel injector rail so that I can more easily reach the bolts for manifold.
Remove head and oil pan and then timing cover by pushing engine over toward driver side using a bottle jack between subframe and transmission bell housing.
You probably will need timing cover, oil pump gears and oil pump cover and pressure reducer valve plus head gaskets and such.
