Never done a 900 but... Posted by turrbo [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Inner door panel removal?, newwithasaab, Fri, 12 Jun 2009 09:09:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
On both the 9000 and 9-3, you need to remove the door latch handle and there is a screw under there also. Not sure how the 900's is set up, but on the 9-3 there is a little round cover that you pry off, revealing the screw. Other than that, as Ron said, remove the "pull" handle top section (it comes apart to find 2 more screws. Then there are screws at the bottom (4 on the 9-3), along the side, and the 9-3 also has a push-in type fastener. When you go to remove the panel, it will be stuck in the door frame by 4 push-type fasteners, so don't expect it to pop right off. You need to firmly pull. Stick your hand in between the panel and frame, and, where you find resistance, there is a fastener. Pull out firmly. The 9000 also has clips at the top that secure the panel to the window trim; not sure if the 900 has these (my 9-3 didn't). Finally, be careful of the trunk button switch. You'll need to disconnect it to remove the panel completely.
