The switch to the poly bushings makes the handling feel much more precise and noticeably more accurate over bumps or uneven road. I'm sure this is as much true do to the fact that I was driving on bad hydraulic bushings to begin with. However, the bushings weren't always bad and the car drives better now than it ever had.

The whole project, which involved new outer control arm bushings on both sides (the largest ones), new sway bar ends on both sides, new ball joint boots on both sides, and inner cv joint on right side took me about 12-15 hours over three work days. This was mainly do to not having all the parts/tools on hand at the get go and fighting a few tough battles along the way. The biggest issue was, to no surprise, rust. It started by breaking the sway bar link when tiring to remove it from the passenger side control arm. The next slow thing was dealing with the preposterous clamps that come with inner cv boot kit. After that was dealing with the bushing sleeve in the control arm which has to be cut and chiseled out before the poly bushings can go in. Another long and painfully time wasting adventure was trying to remove the left ball joint from the hub. I didn't want to mangle it as the ball joint was still good, so I spent a good couple hours pounding away until deciding to go and buy a pickle fork. Upon assembly, everything was going well until I cross threaded the sway bar link while trying to reattach it to the sway bar arm. This set me back an hour + as well.

All in all the project was not too difficult. The hardest part was getting the grease out of my finger nails. On day three I made sure to c=keep my gloves on, highly recommended.

Also, a big thank you to Dmitry Platonoff for putting so much nicely documented work up on the web for all of us to share. http://photo.platonoff.com/Auto/
