Hello everybody
Its been a long time since I have posted on this board. Back in November of 08' I totalled my 99' 9-3 SE when the rear tire ( a new one) blew out on the freeway. After the accident I purcahsed a 1992 900TC 5 speed that I love dearly. But I have really been missing my 9-3. I always thought that the OG 9-3 was a great looking car and I enjoyed all the modern luxury touches that came with the car, ACC, Rear bun warmers ect. I also found the OG-9-3 still pretty quirky( I know most hate that word) with the fold out cup holder ect. But I experienced alot of repairs and breakdowns with the car. I had a turbo fail at 70K, I had the motor fail at 101K, I had major issues with rear tire cupping even after shims were installed and new shocks and springs. ACC fan contoller failure, window pins breaking, leakingback hatch ect. I did buy the car used and hd a pre inspection done at a SAAB dealership. I also did Mobil one synthetic oil changes every 4K, aswell as service at at dedicated Saab reapir shop(s). I still always had probelms. I know the t7 cars are better than the 99' t5's But my 900C has been perfectly reliable with almost 200K on her now, and has gone 30K since novmber without anything other than routine maintance tires, brakes, belts ect. I just really miss the modern-ness and comfort of my 9-3 but i apprehencsive too ive one another shot. Any thoughts. Thanks
