How many miles? What part of the country (i.e. any Winter salt?). We'd need to know the miles and price to know if it's worth buying.
Motors are very reliable. Some accessories, not so. Check the A/C to make sure it works. Check for vibration under acceleration. Check the front end to worn components. It's nice to see oil change records, although these years don't have sludge problems of later years (post 2001). If it's got a lot of miles and you're in rust country, check the rear shock towers for rust right where the shock attaches.
The '95 / '96 NG900 had issues with the 5th bow (top) motor. Those were cured in '97. All NG900's had possible issues with the tonneau motor so you should check for smooth operation. (If it works OK, you can install the reinforcement kit if needed to make sure it keeps working).
You might need an idler pulley & serp belt, although that's no biggie.
