Thanks, Paul, that kinda puts my mind at ease! The only thing that drive me nuts is the slightly louder and rougher than usual sound when I accelerate from a complete stop or to pass another vehicle. It seems like it's the kind of sound you don't want to ignore and can cause premature wear to the engine.
I was thinking of changing the oil AGAIN just to be on the safe side, but that would be ridiculous since I only changed it a week ago and have only 250 miles on it. I'm sure you're familiar with Lucas Oil Stabilizer? It's an additive that allow motor oils and gear oils to maintain a higher degree of lubricity, thus eliminating high temperature viscosity breakdown even under the most extreme conditions. I was thinking about slowly draining out a quart of my existing oil and putting the Lucas Oil stabilizer in just to quiet down and smooth out that rough acceleration sound. I've always been very skeptical of any oil additives, but this product seems to get rave review from everyone who has tried it. Any suggestions on that? Good or bad idea?
Thanks again!
