We have not installed that aftermoarket 6-point subframe brace. he was thinking about getting it but after this fiasco he decided just to get this car back together asap and get back to driving it. This has been a 3 week long endeavor that should've taken a week at most start to finish from my background.
The trouble I've having is getting the rear-most bolts lined-up and started in their holes and then get the 14mm x 1.5 bolts in their holes and started..after that it was easy to get the front two in place with the aid of a pry bar to manipulate the subframe right and left a bit until I lined the bolts up. It just seems to me like there has to be a procedure on these bolts when re-installing the subframe as far as what bolts go in firstly, then secondly, then thirdly. From my prior experience it was the rear-most, then the middle and then the front-most in that order that was easiest for me to line them up.
