It's easy to take that off. Remove the rear ashtray and there's a nut under there (possibly two, I can't remember for sure). Pry off the cover around the ignition switch and you'll find another screw under it. Once those are off, the whole rear part of the center console should come off. If you want to take off the part that goes around the climate controls, you'll have to take off both kick panels and either the ACC or manual climate control panel. There are two of Saab's infamous "expanding plastic rivets" in the top of the opening for the climate control panel. Push the centers in, pull them down, and that entire console piece should come right off.
