Your plugs should all be in fine shape, and unless they get damaged while trying to remove them, they should still be fine.
I take mine down to my local Schuck's, which has a big bin in the back where they take used oil. MTF is still oil, just a weird viscosity.
The drain plug has a magnet on it that will attract any shavings in the transmission. As long as you don't have tons of shavings on there, it should be fine, and that's really about all you can check with the oil, unless you want to send some of it out to be analyzed. Some people here have done that.
There's nothing else that can be easily replaced while you're changing the transmission oil, so don't worry about gaskets until you have to take out the transmission.
