When the ABS sensors in my '01 GMC Sierra started to fail, GMC sent out repair notices starting in around 2007. The recall said that the ABS sensors in the wheel hubs would rust and become innoperable. When GM when under in 2009 the recalls ceased. The last thing a dealer told me was to remove the ABS fuse until the problem was corrected. That was over two years ago and since removing the fuse, my cruise control doesn't work. But at least the brakes still work like in the old days - just no ABS... Ron
