I'm looking at a 1997 900SE talladega convertible with 125k miles. Car looks clean, top works great, even the A/C is okay .... BUT the clutch feels really tight; almost like i'm fighting against it. I'm basically afraid that I'm going to buy this thing and have the clutch cable snap about 2 miles down the road. Haven't owned a car since I gave up my 1988 9000 turbo (257k on it) about 7 years ago. The clutch cable on that snapped somewhere around mile 150k, and I remember it being stiff before it went, but I can't swear it to it being the same feeling since it was 12-13 years ago.
Much obliged for any help
