You can easily spend a $1K/2K on top repairs--especially if you have to pay someone to do it. I'd get the owner to fix the top or at least get an estimate before you pull the trigger. My guess is the owner already knows, hence the "fire sale." Why do you have to complete the deal by Thursday? Buy in haste, repent at your leisure. The Saab OG9-3 is probably one of the most reliable Saabs you can buy but you can buy them for next to nothing. With 105K, the next 50K you're going to be doing a lot of wear related repairs (same would be true with a Honda or Toyota). You might be better off buying something newer with more like 50K on it--you can find OG9-3s and even NG9-3s like that for for under $10K. That's not that much more than the $7K you'll probably end up with in this one. Might be cheaper in the long run.
