My car has the same problem, but i have the 1994 900SE 2.5 v-6
i noticed that if i run the saab with a half tank of gas is starts every time no problem. then when it gets close to empty it happens again, so i keep it between the 1/4th mark and the 1/2 mark so i wont have this starting problem.
My brother told me i need a fuel regulator causing the rail to loose the fuel it has by going back to the tank, so its like a really dry start.
and when he is not around i would use quick start (ether spray) and spray a little in the intake to prime it, then it starts the second time around.
its getting annoying when u have to do that. but when you don't have money but love your car what can you do?
i also used to have my brother hold the stem of the check valve on the fuel rail to see if it was the fuel pump as i cranked the car, and it took a couple of cranks before the fuel got its way to the injectors.
so i dunno if this is the same problem, but maybe we could both be helped on here so we don't have to spend money on parts that are not needed.
take care and good luck!
