Losing Oil, not sure where???

I am losing 1 quart in about 4-6 weeks. I know to refill because every 4-6 weeks, the check oil light comes on when I take a banked curve, and then I can also hear the clicking from the valves, or something, in the engine compartment.
I am burning oil somewhere, and it is not from a leak in the compartment as there are absolutely no oil drops on the ground. Not a whole lot of smoke coming from the rear, but the mornings have been warm.
I recently had the cross ventilation kit put in, and a new oil sensor. I'm wondering where it is leaking from, and logical next steps. I was told it could be the oil seal in the turbo. Should I go there next.
I have a 2001 9-3 viggen convertible, and I am questioning whether or not to drop more money in this. The seatbelt just locked up fully retraced ($500). Turbo replacement I am told is about $1,000, but I am also told this is the place to start. If I replace it and continue to have it, I'm guessing I'm in for another $1,000 to go to head gaskets or rings, etc.
I appreciate the input on the next logical step to stem the oil loss.
