It could be a leak from the distributor. The seals go bad at the connection to the cam shaft and then oil leaks into the cap and drips down on the block. Open up the distributor and see if it's all oily.
It's easy to remove the entire distributor but more of a challenge to take apart and repair it. Used parts probably have the same problem so it is not advisable. If you do a search you'll find some info on the repair using a new gasket.
