I went out there , pumped it a few times. I really think it feels the same as before. It's not limp, and it does return when I let it off. I can tell something is wrong though before even trying to shift, because the stick feels like it is "stuck" in reverse. I don't even want to force it anymore til I get a better idea of what's going on.
Checked around the housing I think you were talking about. Driver's side? Don't see drips anywhere, but I haven't taken anything apart yet. Just a look around the top of it. Checked the black reservoir with the sprocket looking lid. It's full of fluid and the dip stick built in the cap appeared to be dipping into it.
I know this sounds crazy, but I noticed yesterday and today that there is some kind of strange smell coming from around the drivers side area under the hood. I can't place what it is. Maybe chemical, burning ... though I don't think it's burning b/c I can smell it even when first starting the car and turning off.
Would really appreciate a link on the alignment procedure as I know I've seen that in a few places before. Also, I'm wondering how I can check the master and follow the line to the slave for any leaks. Like I said, I know the engine people did put in a new clutch and a new slave. They labored the point about the slave with me, but I can't remember what was said about the master.
