Wondering as to what Dremel bit I should use to grind off the link on the balance chain. Will the following suffice?
Dremel Tungsten Carbide cutter 9911, 9906, 9905
I'm still debating on whether or not to cut the chain. Pulled the pan, and everything was spotless. The Pressure relief piston is pristine. Absolutely nothing on the magnetic drain plug. No chunks of anything in the oil. I still have no clue as to where the whining originates from, though its definitely in the timing cover somewhere. Sounds just like it should (like my other 9-3), save for significantly louder.
Thanks
