I doubt you will burn up the motor running at the higher output. Based on my limited knowledge of motors which are much larger than a cooling fan motor, it's high temperature or bearing failure that does them in. When it's running hard it's getting a lot more cooling air. This small a motor may have bushings rather than bearings. Even if it was bearings they would be lubricated and sealed. A good engineer would have designed it to operate at that speed for much longer than we would run our fans.

235F does seem hot to me, as I've only seen 92C (198F) while driving and 98C (208F) after it sat in a parking lot 5 minutes. However; I've only watched it a handful of times through the OBDII.

How old is the radiator? Maybe it's not cooling as efficiently as mine, which was replaced about 2 years ago.

Just because I'm at stage 3 doesn't mean I don't drive like my grandma. If I lay into it, I find that I'm already well past the speed limit coming out second gear and back off.
