Sounds about right. At least it will hold off the oil leak for another 2-3 years before it's back again.
I hold out for the longest time telling my customer not to spend money on fixing the oil leak alone unless the car need a head gasket anyway.
It's just a design flaw with no good answers except trying to use the older fiber gasket instead.
Obviously, not even from the engine factory did they managed to get it right and as from late 2001, the head bolts were ok and torqued to spec and they still start to leak after awhile.
I make sure the PCV system is up and running and replace the check valve as soon as it gets weak and that seems to hold it in shack good enough.
