We had a '99 9-3 before this '02. The '99 manual called for 205/50-16 & 195/60-15, which is what I always ran on that car for the 8 yrs I had it. The '02, which I've now had for 5 yrs, changed the 16" recommendation but not the 15". I tried to have the speedometer recalibrated from 205/55-16 to 205/50-16(via OBD II) several years ago, which should've also corrected for the 195/60-15 size, but it didn't seem to have any effect.
I've finally given in & decided to start buying 205/55-16 summer tires for the '02 (yeah, I'm stubborn!), & since I also need new winter tires I thought it might be "best" to try & match diameters between the two sets.
I guess I was just OCD-ing a little over making the change .... :-D
