2000Viggen new radiator and hoses installed but overheated Posted by saabnroark [Email] (#17) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabnroark) on Thu, 10 Oct 2019 16:24:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I installed a new radiator, hoses, clamps and new coolant. I did not replace the thermostat or temp sensor.
Started the car and it idled normal for 30 minutes or more for two days, no leaks anywhere. Everything seemed normal so today I drove a few blocks to fill up and steam poured out from under the hood, checked the coolant reservoir and it's empty. The temp gauge read normal before I left. There is no coolant mixed with the oil. What happened? Did I miss something? Any suggestions appreciated.
