I live in Montreal, I know what salt can do to a car. If I were you I would get it rustproofed BUT not at one of those cheaper places that do your car in 20 minutes. Find a company that doesnt drill new holes into the body. More holes means more bare metal and good potential for corrosion. If someone tells you they cant do the job without drilling a few holes, keep shopping. The job can be done without drilling it just takes alot longer. Salt is so bad here that I store my car in winter, cant bare to see it salt covered. I would rather buy a beater for winter than see my car start to rust...especially since its not paid off yet! Where in Europe were you anyway?
