Remove the throttle body transition casting, not the throttle body itself, and grind out a step reduction in the inside diameter where it couples to the 50mm (2") aluminum tube that comes from the intercooler. This will provide more power, faster spin up and a smoother engine. Search for other posts by me to get details from September, plus photos.
Modify the air box.
Remove the turbo compressor discharge silencer.
Most of these things cost very little. Your big expense will be the sports exhaust.
You can do some serious mods which will not break the engine or transmission. Your warranty will be for pullies, seals, air conditioning etc. You do not need to be paranoid. Increasing engine performance will not be considered the cause of a leaking evaporator core!
The only thing that seems to have ever came up that involves engine internals seems to be a couple of timing or balance chain issues. As the these chains do not carry any loads which would change when increasing boost, then I don't think that anyone would block warranty coverage for those item. Other items that would also not be affected would be the alternator, water pump, power steering pump etc.
I have not heard of anyone having any problems with cranks, bearings, rods, pistons etc. We have had a couple of head gasket coolant leaks, but those seem to be happening to stock engines as well.
Clutches stand up pretty good, depending on user habits and driving profiles. Clutch facings are not a warranty item. A failed throw out bearing could be. But a throw out bearing is not something that is affected by engine power, so there would be no loss of warrantee there.
Automatic transmisions. These seem to be hanging in very well. There are folks with automatic transmissions and increased boost pressure. If you had a automatic that had a serious failure, then your engine changes could be questioned.
Many dealers install performance mods on Saabs in the warrantee period, and 'shelter' their customers. They are also confident that the risks are very low or nill.
