but on high mileage cars (greater than 60-75, 000 miles) the synthetic oil may lead to some oil leaks. This is due to slight differences between how synthetic oils and conventional oils affect seal swelling and how synthetic oil may clean away some sludge or varnish expose new leakage paths.
In your case, 26,000 miles (with I assume regular oil changes) it should be no problem.
