Brake controversey - RECOUNT

Thanks to everyone on the list regarding my rip-off dealer and all my '97's problems.
I just don't who to believe and I think my brakes are from Mars. My fronts STILL have lots of meat on the pads and I know they have never been changed since new (I'm the orig. owner). Interesting to hear the disagreements on rotor turning. Mechanically it makes sense but what are the real world experiences. Theory is good, experience is better. If the discs become translucent, I'll change them.
I did purchase an extended warranty with the car and the trans seals ARE covered, who would have thunk? I think the list might be entertained to hear some of the other things wrong with the car and how much they cost:
Change bulb in fog light - 40.00, new antenna 110.00, bulkhead drains blocked 79.00, washer check valves leaking 45.00
I hear the dealer will now use arm length latex gloves when presenting the repair estimates. No charge for the glove.
I was going to call IMPEX for the parts. Anyone have another or better resource? Them seem really good.
Jay
