'97 900 setc 28,000 miles, warranty runs out 1st week of april. my recollection from last fall when i first used the seat heater was that it got quite hot in a few minutes then a thermostat killed them until they cooled down too much, then the heat kicked in again (as long as the button was depressed).
it was only cold for a week, then back to too warm to use the heaters for at least a month. when i started using it again i noticed that it did not get as hot, but it did get warm enough to be nice. i'd read before that they either work or they dont, so i didn't know what to think, mostly i just kept not doing anything about it. last weekend i was driving around with passengers a lot, and they remarked that the heater was really hot, and wanted it turned off within a few minutes, mine still did the same luke-warm thing. is this covered by my about-to-expire warranty? it seems it is but i dont want to go to the dealer without knowing for sure. the car has been great since i bought last september, but i do love those toasty seats.
on a completely un-related note, if my car veers to the left with the steering wheel straight up, but there is absolutely no uneven treadwear on any of the tires, the steering wheel is off-center, no? seems like i cant find actual flat roads around here to know for sure.
one more for the road, something i never noticed until last weekend. accelerating hard (floored) from 90mph upwards, i noticed my turbo throbbed. i felt it, and i saw it, the turbo guage swayed to the beat, running back and forth the range of the yellow. i've never noticed this with hard acceleration from say 30 to 80mph, but that range goes much quicker than 90 to 115mph. that said, is it normal?
thanks,
franks
