You stated that the BCP is working ok. You also stated that you have a long turbo lag and then the power comes on all at once. I start with this problem first. Now if there is something wrong with your turbo odds are that is would occur all the time not in this pattern. Secondly you stated the BCP is ok so let move on. Last thing to check is the MAP sensor. (1)check for a vaccuum leak. (2) take apart he lead that connect to the MAP and check for the proper voltage. Now their is three leads. Looking at the sensor with the metal clip on top the rightmost side lead should have aroung 12v. If less the problem is occuring in the wire. Now check the leftmost lead. Its power should be around 5v if its not again its the wire. Assuming that you do not have access a the pressure number though the tech 2 and everthing works out to be ok then you need a Map sensor and that were my money is and it cost around $250.
Seond problem is even faster to fix. If you placed both temp sesors and still occuring hard starting then it probly a thermstat because this is the only left to fix and cost around $10 and its pretty straigt forward to install.
I sorry I got to your post so late but at least its before the weekend and now you can have the time to work on yor car. So there it is you car fixed with the all that power and now it cold starts. Enjoy the weekend buring some M3's.
