I have a new to me 1997 Turbo. I love it. I was able to find the exact car(1997 2D Black/Black under 60k miles) I wanted from a local dealer in CT. If you know what you are looking for ask the dealer, they can usualy find it for you if they dont have it already... Do take the car to a Saab Tech (other than where you are buying it)and let them go over it. There is nothing worse than buying a lemon. (we had a 1987 9000s in my family, BAD CAR!!!) anyway, if you are trying to figure out which one to buy I recomend that you go with a Turbo and five speed if you can drive it. This will be one of the best things you can do. I just sold my 1994 900s (with 140k miles. still going strong as when I picked it up in 1997 with 70K) to get the Turbo I always wished I had. You will thank yourself in the end. All in all I think it is a good idea to look into the used market. I am a college student so for me it just makes more sence money wise, but trully, I believe that you are really getting a much better deal than buying new. Good Luck.
Cheers,
Detex.
