Dave is correct - the fog light in the rear is a single bright red light. There are sockets on both sides, though. This is also the arrangement in Europe - it helps differentiate between the fogs and the brake lights.
Also, the rear fog light should never be used at night - it is far too bright for someone who is following you. In Europe, where virtually all cars have a "cat-eye" fog light like this, other motorists will not hesitate to register their displeasure if you fail to observe this courtesy.
